Dispatch riders are the backbone of digital commerce in Africa. Every order placed online, every package delivered on time, every happy customer, it all rests on the shoulders of riders who navigate chaotic traffic, unpredictable weather, and long hours to keep the economy moving. Yet they remain largely invisible, unprotected, and one accident away from financial ruin.
The Unsung Hero Project exists to change that. We provide comprehensive HMO coverage to dispatch riders working across the Buntu ecosystem and partner logistics networks, ensuring they have access to quality healthcare without having to drain their savings, or worse, go without care, when illness or injury strikes.
Because one accident shouldn't be the difference between a rider supporting their family and losing everything they've built. Recognizing dispatch riders as essential workers, and protecting them like it, is the least the industry they power owes them.
